Guavas grow abundantly in the Caribbean and it is one of the most sought-after fruits by locals and visitors alike. The sweet bouquet of a ripe guava lights up any room. There are different varieties of guavas, each with thier own color when ripe. There is the pink guava, the white guava and the peach-fleshed guava. Most guavas when ripe, the skin is cream coloured. The variety is determined by the colour of the pulp. The fruit contains many tiny seeds which are edible.
